David Grosfils appointed Head of Hallmark Hotels

David Grosfils has recently been appointed Head of Hallmark Hotels and joins the group as it marks eighteen months since the new Hallmark Hotels brand was unveiled. David joins the portfolio from London's largest owner operator hotel company glh, where he was Chief Operating Officer.

His new role will focus on enhancing the guest experience through the strengthening of the hotels operational performance across the 28 strong and growing, UK wide portfolio. Responsible for the implementation of the group’s day to day operation and commercial strategy, David will oversee the continued integration of the three previously separate hotel groups, into one coherent and well recognized brand.
 


Commenting on his appointment he said “I’m loving the new role and I am really looking forward to the exciting challenges ahead, ensuring our brand stands up to its name and the Hallmark of all of our hotels is the seal of approval that our guests look for, whether booking for business or leisure, weddings or events.”

As Head of Hallmark Hotels, David’s initial priorities will focus within the operational side of the business, driving consistent quality across all sectors including restaurants and bars, meetings and weddings. David will oversee the day to day operations alongside managing the central operating platform of the business and working with Topland’s hotel team setting and implementing the business strategy.

“My goal is to create a consistently reliable and welcoming brand that guests class as their home away from home. Hotels that our guests cannot wait to return to.” In line with Topland’s strategy, David is in process of integrating eight former Best Western Feathers Hotel Collection sites in the North-West of England into the expanding Hallmark portfolio.  

Over twenty years of senior multi-site management experience in Hospitality and Leisure has seen David represent numerous well-known brands including Premier Inn, Beefeater, Café Rouge, David Lloyd Leisure and TGI Friday’s UK.  Prior to his most recent COO role with glh, David was Operations Director at Nuffield Health where he was responsible for the integration of fifteen newly acquired Greens Health & Fitness Clubs, experience which he intends to apply directly to his new role at Hallmark Hotels.
