Sol Zakay’s Topland Vintage has partnered with Re:shape Living on the redevelopment of St George’s House East in Wimbledon.

Plans are being brought forward for a comprehensive transformation of the site, focused on delivering a major residential-led, mixed-use scheme. The development is expected to include high-quality co-living accommodation alongside a dynamic mix of retail and commercial space, supporting the long-term vitality of Wimbledon town centre.

Topland structured the transaction and also provided a £17m senior debt facility to support the acquisition and planning phase. The facility was delivered through Topland’s rapidly expanding senior lending platform, which remains on track to deploy over £150m of new loans this quarter across the bridging and transitional finance markets.

Sol Zakay, Executive Chairman and CEO of Topland Vintage Group, said:
“This deal showcases Topland’s ability to structure innovative and flexible real estate transactions, combining our investment expertise with the strength of our lending platform. We’re pleased to be working alongside Re:shape Living on a scheme that promises to revitalise this key site and deliver lasting benefits to Wimbledon.”

Ryan Smith, Head of Acquisitions at Topland, added:

“This project highlights our strategy to transform underused town centre sites into destinations with real purpose. In partnership with Re:shape Living, we’re confident that St George’s House East will become a vibrant mixed-use hub, bringing new homes and opportunities to Wimbledon”

Dan Lutterodt, Partner at Re:shape Living, commented:

” Topland were a fast-moving and collaborative partner in the transaction – their experience and funding flexibility played a critical role in making this happen.”
